Umbrella Inc.’s at Home Care services are designed to assist people to remain living independently in their homes by providing excellent services with fully trained and bilingual staff. This exceptional service gives seniors the ability to retain their independence for as long as is possible in their familiar home environment.
The primary focus of this service in on maintaining and improving the independence of the individual requiring assistance. As such we deliver services to assist clients with tasks they are no longer able to do or are unable to complete without some help. Umbrella meticulously matches the client with the support worker ensuring the service is a genuinely personal one that is not only culturally harmonious but also stands the test of time.

CDC Home Care Packages
Umbrella’s brand new Home Care Packages are an excellent addition to our exciting services. Home Care Packages are designed to cater for people with higher level of care needs. It also gives flexibility and choice to people about how this care will be delivered. At Umbrella Inc. we always make sure our clients are respected and feel safe at all times. This new program builds on the experience and skills of the last 16 years in providing innovative Home and Community Care (HACC) services in the Perth and Peel regions. These Home Care Package services can often mean the difference between a person staying at home or entering residential care.
Provided in the client’s home and can include light domestic tasks such as vacuuming and mopping floors in living areas, tidying up bathroom and kitchen. Under Domestic Assistance, Umbrella can also assist with shopping (using a prepared list) and paying bills.
Our Support Workers are experienced at providing sensitive and discrete low or high-level personal care such as assistance with showering, grooming and toileting in the ways you choose, at times that will suit you.
Home and Garden Maintenance
Home and Garden Maintenance includes assistance with general gardening duties such as maintaining garden plants, weeding, sweeping the garden and pathways. Under the Home and Garden Maintenance program, Umbrella can also assist with handyman work and small repairs.
Social Support is 1 on 1 assistance and enables the client to maintain social contact and access to the community. Social Support can include companionship, taking the client to the shops and assisting with shopping, banking and bill paying. It also includes accompanying clients during appointments, visiting doctors and going to the pharmacy.
Respite Care is assistance provided to Carers and enables them to have a short break from their caring role. Umbrella provides a staff member to stay with the client while the carer is having a break. Respite is usually provided in blocks with a minimum period of 2 hours.
Community Visitor Scheme – FREE program
Our Community Visitor Scheme program can organise someone from the community or someone who speaks a preferred language to visit older people from Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CALD) or LGBTIQ backgrounds who are experiencing social isolation. The visits are relaxed and social in nature: they can chat together, share a cup of tea, play a board game or go for a walk in the garden. The best part is, this is a completely FREE service. People are eligible for this service if they are on a Home Care Package or live in a Residential Care facility. We currently have more than 70 volunteers, and they speak more than 20 different languages.
